At Viatris, we have the privilege of working closely alongside Multiple Sclerosis (MS) advocacy groups, healthcare practitioners and caregivers to help meet the needs of patients throughout their journey. We have learned from decades of partnering with the MS community that this means going beyond just developing targeted treatments.
At this year’s Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) Annual Meeting, Viatris was a proud sponsor of the Giants of Multiple Sclerosis® program—a premiere neuroscience award program that celebrates pioneers, innovators, and future generations of leaders who have been selected by their peers for their remarkable achievements in Multiple Sclerosis.
The annual awards ceremony took place in Nashville, TN on May 30th at CMSC's Annual Meeting. From caregiving to research, it was rewarding to see what each of these 2024 honorees have achieved for the MS community:
- Advanced Practice Provider: Colleen Harris, MN, NP, MSCN - University of Calgary MS Clinic
- Mental Health: Rosalind Kalb, PhD, CHC - Can Do Multiple Sclerosis
- Neurology: Jeffrey Cohen, MD - Cleveland Clinic
- Nursing: Aprile Royal, RN, BA, MEd - St. Michael's Hospital Toronto
- Pharmacy: Jacquelyn Bainbridge, PharmD, BSPharm., FCCP, MSCS, FAES - University of Colorado
- Rehabilitation: John DeLuca, PhD - Kessler Foundation/Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School
- Research: Howard Weiner, MD – Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School
Events like Giants of Multiple Sclerosis® are a reminder that, by working together, we can achieve our shared goal of helping MS patients live their best lives. We are energized by this work, and proud to continue to support our partners in the MS Community.
