National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research 2025 Congressional Briefing

At Viatris, we recognize that amplifying the patient voice is a key component in our mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life. Dry eye disease disrupts daily life in ways that are easy to overlook but hard to live with. Despite its widespread impact and varied causes, there is still work to be done to promote awareness and support those living with the condition.

In July, we were proud to support the National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (NAEVR) in bringing dry eye disease to the forefront through their annual congressional briefing. Some topics covered included the need for increased investment in vision research, the importance of screening, and patient safety considerations.

The activities on the Hill occurred alongside the Dry Eye Foundation’s 2025 Dry Eye Patient Symposium in Washington, DC. The symposium brought together patients, advocates, and experts united by the shared goal of advancing awareness, education, and support for those living with dry eye disease.

These opportunities to hear patient voices continue to inspire while also creating a meaningful impact on national and state policymaking. We look forward to continuing to support eye health through innovation and advocacy.
